Available Position: Litigation Services Team Financial Analyst

The Mercer Capital financial analyst program provides a unique opportunity to develop professionally shoulder-to-shoulder with talented and committed individuals in a growing firm. As an analyst at Mercer Capital, you will gain a broad range of experience in corporate finance providing a variety of financial advisory services.

Analysts gain exposure to valuation of businesses and securities for the purposes of financial reporting, dispute resolution, employee stock ownership plans, estate planning, and litigation, among other things. Analysts are responsible for a range of job activities including client communication, travel, report writing, financial modeling and analysis, internal development, etc.

The financial analyst position is both writing and mathematics intensive. The Litigation Services Team financial analyst supports clients who need financial experts for valuation and forensic services needs. Clients and cases include business damages, shareholder disputes, family law and divorce, and commercial litigation, among others.

Qualifications

  • CPA preferred and additional valuation and forensic credentials welcomed.

  • Candidates must have a background with significant coursework and experience in economics, mathematics, accounting, and/or finance. Academic excellence and aptitude are measures of success for the position; a 3.5 or higher overall GPA is preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required.

  • 2-5 years of professional experience in tax and/or audit required.

  • Outstanding writing, quantitative, and communication skills are required. The position is both writing and spreadsheet-intensive.

  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S., without employer sponsorship, at the time of hire and in the future.
